Coal India Limited has defined a scheme known as “CIL Executive Defined Contribution Pension Scheme” applicable only for the employees of CIL. The scheme came into effect in the year 2007.

Key Points of CIL Pension Scheme 2019:

  • In this scheme, in first part the main objective of the Coal India management is to deposit an additional 9.84% of basic and dearness allowance to a pension fund, which would be used to create a corpus.

दूसरेभागमेंप्रबंधनद्वाराकर्मचारियोंऔरअधिकारियोंसहितकर्मचारियोंकोमूलऔरमंहगाईपरअतिरिक्त7%काभुगतानशामिलहै।यहउनकेपेंशनफंडकीभरपाईमेंजाएगा, जोकमसेकम25,000करोड़रुपयेकीकमीकासामनाकररहाहैऔरकर्मचारियोंद्वारावर्तमानमेंभुगतानकिएजानेवाले12%सेअधिकऔरऊपरहोगा, जोकिकंपनीद्वारानिधिकेबराबर12%योगदानसेमेलखाताहै।कर्मचारीइसखातेपरपेंशनफंडमें7%कायोगदानकरेंगे।

तीसराऔरसबसेबड़ाहिस्साअधिकारियोंकेलिएवेतनमें15% से20% कीबढ़ोतरीकीउम्मीदहैयहबढ़ोतरीनियमितवेतनवृद्धिकाहिस्साहैजोहर10 सालमेंहोतीहै।

Eligibility Required for CIL Pension Scheme:

The following category of employees will be eligible for Pension:

  • Executives who have retired or are going to take Voluntary Retirement from the services of the Company after completing a minimum of 15 years of service in the Company.
  • Executives expired on account of Permanent Total Disablement, while in Service, with or without 15 years of service in the Company.
  • whose services terminated because of continued ill health by the Company. with or without completion of minimum 15 years’ service in the Company.
  • Executives, after completing a minimum of 15 years of service in the Company, have taken retirement under the provisions of “Pre mature retirement”.
  • Executives who joined the Company from other CPSEs, if the Service rendered by them in continuity in CPSEs (including in CIL Pension Scheme) have completed 15 years.
  • Those Executives working in other companies on deputation from CIL & subsidiaries will be covered under the scheme.
  • The scheme will not be applicable to Executives on deputation to the Company from the Central/ State Govt., those engaged on contract basis as Advisors/ Consultants, etc.
