Kangana, Chhattisgarh CM Launch Mobile Distribution Scheme
Famous Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Raman Singh launched a smartphone distribution scheme called ‘Mobile Tihar‘ under Sanchar Kranti Yojana on 30th of July, 2018 which is now a days called as Kangana, Chhattisgarh CM Launch Mobile Distribution Scheme by different forms of media.
The Bollywood actress along with the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh have made themselves more aware of the social issues and are now working for the welfare of the society. The launch of this scheme will lead to more smart India so that people can get easy access to communication and digital knowledge in every part of the state.

The Kangana, Chhattisgarh CM Launch Mobile Distribution Scheme aims to make the state smart and eligible to communicate with anyone anywhere. The scheme includes distribution of smartphones to 45 lakh women and 5 lakh children and setting up of 556 new mobile towers in the entire state. The Chief Minister said while launching the scheme that the government is working towards improving network connectivity and empowering youth with smartphones.
According to the Chief Minister Raman Singh the Chhattisgarh government’s Sanchar Kranti Yojana, which works in entailing giving free smartphones to 45 lakh women and 5 lakh students, is a crucial step to empower them.
He addressed a gathering during the “mobile tyauhar” (mobile festival) which kicked off in Raipur that day. The scheme was inaugurated in the capital of the state which is Bastar district on July 26 by President Ram Nath Kovind.
The Minister also said that “The biggest beneficiaries of this scheme will be those residing in the rural areas and remote areas, farmers, and workers,” while calling it the biggest mobile phone distribution project in the world. He also called it a major step in the empowerment of women and youth of the state, especially those residing in rural areas, of the state.
He claimed that “4G smartphones were till now the exclusive privilege of the affluent class. But now workers and farmers will get it and the state will enter a new era of development. It will now be called Smart Chhattisgarh and these smartphones would be distributed over the next four months.
The Chief Minister also dedicated 556 new mobile towers installed across the state and also launched a mobile app titled “Goth” which will be pre-installed on these smartphones. People of the Chhattisgarh state could know about government schemes, policies as well as cultural programmes through this app.
Actor Kangana Ranaut, who was also present on the occasion and was also a part of the scheme, distributed phones to beneficiaries, hailed Singh for SKY and called it a “one of a kind” project which was the outcome of his farsightedness. According to her, women comprised half the population of the country and empowering them was necessary.
